While still a bit jetlagged, I managed to find the time to setup my new box, a Core i7 running Windows 7 64-bit. A 7/7 box, which in itself is pretty neat.
What is even better is what happens to it when you attach 12 GiB of RAM, a 120 GiB SSD and 3 320 GiB SATA disks in RAID-5 to it:
For your information, this video runs at normal speed. This is how awesome this workstation is.
Windows 7 looks very promising. It's Vista running without a handbreak. For those of you who cannot wait and don't want to use a release candidate, you can set up a very fast Windows workstation with Windows Server 2008.
